Earth Observation & Spatial Analysis

Our research utilizes Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Remote Sensing techniques to study social and ecological patterns in the coastal zone. We gather and interpret geospatial data using remote sensing and GIS to explore complex coastal dynamics such as erosion, sediment shifts, and ecosystem changes, in particular with respect to mangroves. Work in this theme is conducted in close cooperation with multiple institutions such as NASA and WWF.
