Bio

Liz Mason joined the Coastal Studies Institute in 2017. Prior to working at CSI, Liz worked for Duke University’s Marine Geospatial Ecology Lab after finishing her Master of Environmental Management degree in May. Liz also worked for Marine Robotics and Remote Sensing at Duke while completing her graduate studies.

Current Projects

Completing sediment grain size analysis for the Bureau of Energy Ocean Management Atlantic Sand Assessment Project.
Evaluating current and historic change of Submerged Aquatic Vegetation distribution and comparing those to water-column and substrate parameters as well as physical processes.

Personal Interests

Liz enjoys all things outdoors such as going to the beach, running, and camping. She loves traveling and visiting new places as much as she can.
